About the Department of Economics

The Department of Economics at the University of Zanjan began its educational and research activities in Mehr 1392 (October 2013) by admitting students at the master's level in the field of Economic Sciences.

Alongside its experienced faculty members, the department now aims to draw on the potential of the educational departments of the University of Zanjan, the Graduate University of Advanced Basic Sciences of Zanjan (IASBS), and other reputable universities and research institutes across the country to train and educate graduate students in both theoretical and practical aspects.

In 1395 (2016), the Department of Economics at the University of Zanjan expanded the field of Economic Sciences into two branches: Economic Systems Planning, and Economic Development and Planning. Since 1397 (2018), the department has been admitting master's students in the field of Economic Sciences with the following branches:

1.      Economic Sciences (Theoretical)

2.      Economic Systems Planning

3.      Economic Development and Planning

As of Mehr 1398 (October 2019), the department has also expanded its activities by admitting students at the undergraduate level.
